Exporting and deleting your memory

Full JSON export anytime. Delete one memory, a source, a date range, or everything.

Your memory is yours in the most literal sense: it lives in files on your device, you can take all of it with you, and you can destroy any of it. No retention policy, no “contact support to delete your account” — there is no account.

Export

Settings → Export produces a complete JSON file of your memory store: every item, its text, source, timestamps, and provenance (including whether a cloud call was ever involved). Save it to Files, AirDrop it, archive it — it’s a plain, portable format with no lock-in.

Delete

  • One memory — swipe and delete from any list.
  • By source — everything from voice, photo, or shared content in one action.
  • By date range — clear a window of time.
  • Everything — a full wipe, confirmed twice.

Deletes are immediate and local. Deleting the app from your device deletes all SempreNotes data with it, because there is no copy anywhere else.

What low storage does

When your device is critically low on space, SempreNotes blocks new captures and warns you. What it never does is silently evict or compress existing memories to make room — that is one of the five covenants. Free up space and capture resumes normally.

What SempreNotes retains about you

On our side: nothing. SempreNotes operates no server that receives your content, runs no analytics, and cannot see your memory, your questions, or your existence as a user. The export file is the complete record, and it is in your hands.
